 What is this blog?

This is Ezekiel The Deer, an AJC-based story blog based around plushies. Created by Maes as an attempt to make a spiritual successor to Breadstick The Croc, a blog that was also an AJC-based story blog based around plushies.

Why this specific kind of blog?

I found Breadstick The Croc long after it ran it's course, but it was still special to me. A blog that had been abandoned so suddenly and so violently in early 2016, but with a lovely story and lovely characters. It went private sometime around 2020, and I'd seek out that magic ever since. This is my attempt to recapture the magic I'd found so many years later.

Unfortunately, even though it and many of it's pages were captured on the wayback machine, only the last 7 posts were ever captured. And with the blog being privated, I don't believe we'll ever see all those other, lost posts again, unless the creator decides to republicize the blog all of a sudden.

Why AJC specifically?

Breadstick The Croc was created on AJC; I was always an AJC kid anyways, even if I also ventured onto Google+ and Club Penguin. Now I'm on Tumblr, but my heart will always rest with the game that introduced me to things that still fill my very soul with joy.

Where did you get the names of Ezekiel, Adalie, and Monica?

I asked my friend. Who got them off google. In fact, the specific plushies were chosen by said friend, too.

Why specifically 3 main characters?

I don't wanna be a copycat. While early BTC had a ton of characters, the duo I'd argue fit "main character" best are Breadstick and Arietta. They were besties. Sorry Booky, but the narrative itself forgot you and your alleged best friend title for Arietta.

Where did you get the starting point of "3 friends move into a house together" from?

Good question. I guess it just felt right somehow. And more fun. Actually, I might've taken subconscious inspiration from Breadstick on that one. Breadstick did move around a lot.

What is the plan for this story?

To have fun. (Also I've got some characters I plan to drop in, but shh.)
