Thrift Store Visit

Hello everyone! Remember the last post about new decor we made? We went to a neat thrift store for it! Well, today me and Monica went back, and we decided to give you guys a proper tour this time!

Soup!

Good morning (evening), everyone. We had the soup I made for breakfast. Hopefully this helps.

Soop. Ezekiel and I ate at the table, but Adalie wasn't feeling well enough to walk, so she ate in bed. And Mozzarella definitely wouldn't feel up to walking if Adalie didn't. I also went out and picked up some Larkspur; not because of any medicinal qualities, just because I was hoping the color would help Mozzarella feel more at ease.

Here I am carrying it inside. It was surprisingly heavy!

The pot is inside safely. I hope the flowers bring at least a little comfort for Moz.

I should probably mention now that until Adalie's feeling better, I'm probably gonna be a lot less active. Ezekiel seems pretty stressed out too, so I doubt they'll post much either. So basically the blog is going on a mild hiatus.

I Am The Only Responsible Adult

It would appear that I am the only responsible adult in the house. Adalie got sick after eating weird mushrooms. Not nearly as sick as poor Mozzarella, but still pretty horribly sick.

Ezekiel was a responsible roomie and did not eat any. He kept an eye on the others while I was at work. Thank you, Ezekiel. Poor Mozzarella's gonna be out of commission the next few weeks. Adalie will be better by August, though, so at least she has that.

Mozzarella shame couch. Get better soon, you impulsive bastard.

So, I'll be cooking some Good Soup for our sickly friends tonight. You can't see the pot since the fire's so big. Feel better soon, Mozzarella and Adalie.

Adalie's Cool Mushrooms!

So, this morning, when I got up, Adalie immediately told me she had something to show me. Apparently she found some weird mushrooms last night! So we go over to see them!

She seemed genuinely surprised when she saw them. Apparently, she'd picked some, and the ones she'd picked grew back overnight! Which, honestly, surprised me too to hear. I was wondering if they were edible, when a familiar set of pawsteps arrived onto the scene.

Mozzarella had come out to see what Adalie was urgently wanting to show me, how nice of xem! So I told them about what Adalie told me, and they mentioned that they could test the edibility. In hindsight, I shouldn't of agreed to let them test it, because, um..

I think this picture describes itself. They started out just sniffing them, but soon enough they took a few nibbles. I tried to tell them that I didn't think that was a good idea, but then they started gagging.

Here's a fact I hope isn't too surprising: eating mystery mushrooms... can get you very sick. Thankfully, it seems to just be a stomach illness, but that was pretty scary. They don't seem to feel too well... alas, this doesn't seem to have taught Adalie anything. She wants to try to cook the mushrooms over the fire and see if that makes them better.

Adalie, why... I hope nobody else gets sick. Monica's at work, so she can't be the self-proclaimed "only actual adult in this den," and I'm not good at cooking soups over firepits. I will be staying away from eating the weird cave mushrooms that are in front of our house for some reason.

I'm Stealing The Blog Again

Good morning, everyone. I keep hearing ghostly wailing at night, and nobody believes me, so I stole the laptop so I could talk about it. I woke up last night to what sounded like a 10 year old sobbing his eyes out in the most echo-y cave in the world. So I stepped outside, and surprise surprise, there was nothing there. I swear to you the moon was crying again, though.

So I'm sitting there, still sleepy out of my mind. I can't see the source of the crying, but I saw some neat mushrooms. So I went over to check them out.

These are cave mushrooms. Why are they in front of our house? I decided to take some of the little mushrooms back to the house with me. The wailing kept me up all night, but I did learn some neat stuff about the weird cave shrooms that are on the surface for some reason. By the way, you may of heard of Jamaalidays Creep, which, for those unaware, when people start putting up Jamaalidays stuff far too early (Jamaalidays In July being the biggest offender), but I'm starting to see some Night Of The Phantoms Creep too. I am seeing so much Night Of The Phantoms stuff coming up early. It's weird. I like it more than Jamaalidays Creep, though. Anyways, I took a picture of the moon, but it came out smudgy and blurry. What a shame.

:Look at how blurry this is. It looked so good in person. Ugh. Oh well, I'll just get a better picture tomorrow night. Hopefully.

Decor 2: Electric Boogaloo!

Hey guys! It's been a busy day, this time in a less boring and less distressing way; we got more new decor, and other stuff like that! First and most foremost, I found a nice poster for my favorite movie ever!!!!

A cinematic masterpiece of last era. I look so happy in this picture! We let Mozzarella pick something out, too, and look at what xe picked out! It's so cute!

A cute little garden stake!!! I love it. Adalie's a little put off by it, but I love it. Monica also bought something!

That's right: Monica got a bike! Now she doesn't have to walk to work! Although, I suppose biking's a bit of work too... still a neat bike!

Also from the same store: a welcome mat! It's kind of scraggly, and it's in Latin script rather than the current standard Tiger script, but I like it! And we finally have a few pictures from the store: some honorable mentions for stuff we decided not to buy!

We Caught Our Roof Arsonist

So, we caught our roof arsonist. Yes, finally. 4 days into this mess. And, well.. let me tell you, it is a WILD story. As I mentioned last night, I decided to do a stakeout. Which.. I didn't entirely fail at. But I did fall asleep.

So at first, I was kind of mad. Like, I failed to stake out and catch our arsonist, god dammit. But.. guess who was asleep next to the fire pit?

Yep. Our roof arsonist. Obviously, if they decided to fall asleep next to our fire pit, things aren't great for them, so I felt bad and took them inside.

So I sat there for a bit and waited for them to wake up. It'd be rude to just randomly wake them. So when they did wake up, I tried to explain the situation, but they ran off! Obviously me and the others gave chase.

I think they knew they were a bit screwed; three animals chasing them is kind of a no brainer for "I'm screwed," so they whipped around, bared their teeth in an almost comical fashion, and lit that lighter in their hand.

This is where things get hard to explain with just words alone, so I'm going to use quotes of what was said to illustrate my point. No need to thank me, I kind of stole this idea...

I'll separate it out in a different alignment to make it easier.

Monica Steals The Blog (Again)

Hey guys! Monica here. Ezekiel and Adalie are both already asleep, but I'm not tired. I decided to show off the new firepit!

Pretty nice, huh? It's not lit right now, but I'll light it in a few minutes and stake out for our arsonist. Thank you, 2ashamed2login!

So, before I do that, I wanna announce that yeah, we welcome reader engagement! If you have any tips that might help us if we need it, PLEASE let us know! And even if you just wanna converse, we're always happy to do that! Ezekiel's Blogger username is XxEzekielTheDeerxX, mine is in the picture above (M0N15M0N5T3R). Adalie is too embarrassed about her's for some reason, but rest assured we will remove any imposters. Also, sorry about the late post today. It's been a busy day, but it's all in a really boring way. Mortgage issues, Adalie's trying to find a job and failing, Ezekiel's been writing commissions all day... yeah. Although I bet Ezekiel would be quite happy to discuss his commission work, he is very much asleep right now. I just wanted to post an update today, since I offered to help keep the daily posts rolling. Before I go, here's a picture of me getting ready to stake out for our arsonist.

I look exhausted. On that note, Goodnight, everyone!

I'm Awake!

Wow that was a good sleep. Shockingly good. Anyways, I have updates for you guys! So, I think I actually saw our strange roof arsonist today. So, there I was, waking up from my prolonged sleep.

I look so crusty. Anyways, I decided I needed some fresh air. So I decided to step outside, and what do I see?

A random, yellow wolf, holding a lighter! So, I was kind of standing there, and we were staring at each other. And then, the wolf ran away!

I tried to get their name, but they just kept running. And Monica found no charring on our roof, so I guess they hadn't gone up there yet. I wonder what they're doing, burning our roof? But I have other news too.

We finally got wallpaper!! It looks so nice, way better than the beige. I'm so happy!! I picked it out myself, too! And it goes great with our balloons. Oh, on the topic of our house...

We have this patio we haven't done anything with! Does anyone have ideas for fun stuff we can do out here? We've been so busy furnishing the inside of the house, we forgot we have a nice patio!

My Keyboard Now.

Adalie here. Yep, I stole the laptop. It's like, 3 in the morning and we think we almost caught the roof charring culprit. It looks like daytime in the photo, but that's honestly because the camera is weird. I look like I saw a ghost.

We didn't see it in person somehow, guess they're just that sneaky. Also, we scrubbed off the old charring, but found a lot more.. dang. This is gonna cost a fortune to fix if it damages our roof.
Me and Monica chatting about it. Monica is definitely gonna get a security camera as soon as she can. Plus, the moon looked really weird tonight.

I know, not a very good picture, but it shows off what I mean. Back in my old burrow network, there was this myth about the little bunny in the moon. Legend has it, a young boy was cursed to live in the moon by his older sister after he annoyed her too much centuries ago. Now he's the little bunny in the moon. Now, I don't know why, but the little bunny was more visible than he had been in quite a while, and he looked like he was crying. But it's just an old myth, so it's probably just a coincidence...

Anyways, I'm heading to bed. I'm really tired.

Monica Takes The Reins (Because Ezekiel Is Asleep On The Couch)

Good morning folks, I have stolen the communal laptop for today's update, because Ezekiel passed out on the couch after convincing me to move my cherished son outside.

Look at him. Sleeping. Don't tell him I put my son next to his dumb little pinwheel.

My son shall guard our house from the mysterious roof arsonist. Speaking of which, I found more char marks on the roof today. I dragged Adalie into investigating with me.

What worries me is that there's more charring this time. A lot more. This is way more than last time. Adalie is poking me and telling me to move onto the next thing. So, we also found some yellow fur up there. It's definitely not raccoon fur, though.
I'm gonna go pick up a camera next time we go to the store...

Someone Was On Our Roof

Okay, so, I woke up from my nap earlier, and I heard noises on the roof. Like pawsteps? It sounded like there were people on the roof. Of course, me and Monica went to check it out a few hours later, and we found nobody up there. There were definitely char marks on our roof, though.

It was pretty weird. Like, someone had set a fire on our roof. And somehow our house didn't burn down? It's weird. I have a feeling that's not the last set of pawsteps we'll hear...

In other news, Monica has a weird creepy crocodile statue.

Monica, don't skewer me for this, but I really hate this thing. It's way too creepy. Adalie's plaque is better; it's just kind of silly, this thing is actively giving me the heebie-jeebies.

Look, she even set it up in the living room. Why? Who needs to see it? Are you doing it to taunt me? Why in Mira's name would you even have this?

I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight, knowing that thing is so nearby.

Decor!

When we woke up this morning, we all agreed the wall color was kind of ugly. But since we can't get wallpaper to cover up the beige walls right now, we decided to get some neat new decor instead!

Unfortunately, even though I took pictures at the store, my camera lost them all. Which is a shame, I had some funny ones I wanted to keep... sigh. Oh well. No use crying over spilled milk!

Here's a cool pinwheel I picked out. I think it looks nice, but Monica said that we shouldn't of wasted our gems on a pinwheel. It wasn't even that many, but she's never been a fan of pinwheels anyways.

Monica picked this cool star-themed streamer out. Kind of reminds me of the eclipse that happened a couple years ago! Adalie said it looked tacky. Ah well.

Apparently Adalie had this in storage, though. A whole plaque. I don't know why she never told us she had it, and honestly? It's kind of silly. It's an online safety plaque, which is pretty childish. I haven't mentioned any of this, though, since she seems weirdly proud of it.

Wait, I just realized she'd be reading this, since she has access to this blog... sorry, Adalie! It is a nice plaque, it's just a bit weird to be proud of an online safety plaque.

And here's the one thing we all agreed would look nice in our house. A bundle of blue balloons! It's always a fun time when you have nice balloons! So, all in all, a good trip.

House Tour!

Hi guys! we just got fully moved in! Time for a house tour!

There's me, at the entrance. Don't I look excited?

Hi Monica! She's pretty tired from moving so much furniture, so she's recuperating on the couch.

Here's our dining table! We.. don't have a kitchen. That's on me, though. It's okay, we can just get takeout!

Here's our beds! Hi, Adalie! She's pretty tired too. You can't see it well in the picture, but she's reading a book. Speaking of pictures, why does she look so spooked in the pictures I took with her in them? I promise she doesn't always look so frightened in real life.

And here's our house in it's entirety! Potted plant and all!

It's a bit bare, but that's alright by me. We'll probably get more decoration soon anyways. It's pretty late at night, so I wanna turn in for the night. More posts tomorrow!
